- “Take one day at a time…..(like we have a choice to take 2 or 3 days alternately:)
- None of us get outta here alive!” (That thought doesn’t resonate with me personally because that thought seems to focus on the inevitable and not being fully in the present)
For all of you who knew my mom, then you know what a force of nature she was.
As we celebrate her powerful life, I encourage all of you to reach out to everyone you love and make sure they know (TRIPLE KNOW) how much you truly love them. May I encourage you ALL to PUT ALL DIFFERENCES ASIDE and love LOVE, LOVE everyone intensely and unconditionally.
My mom taught me to:
- work hard–
- Pray hard
- Live following your dreams
- Use all your God Given Gifts…
My mom was a stunner…show stopper, and often compared to being as beautiful as Marilyn Monroe with Better Legs than Betty Grable! I think being her only daughter, One of our biggest jokes we laughed uncontrollably over as adults, was she wanted me to be a beauty queen….and all I wanted to do was be a professional athlete:)
She grew to love and support all the athletic gifts I was given and explored in the past 40 years as a Strength and Conditioning coach.
This fruit didn’t fall far from that tree…just last February 2018, mom was sharing how she deadlifted a #300 Chopped off telephone pole out of the ground by bear hugging it after her truck couldn’t get it out!!! She was 76
She fought valiantly against cervical cancer for the past few years and I assure you she went out on her own terms. I pray I have her courage in the face of such odds.
She lost her battle with cancer on Friday/Saturday and she will be unbelievably missed!
A link has been established for those of you who have been asking. If you want to assist with the funeral and have any special wishes, we set up this link via paypal to assist with so many surprise expenses–there is no instruction manual to know how to prepare for this loss!
My mom wanted me to tell you all: I LOVE YOU, AND I WILL MISS SEEING ALL YOUR SMILING FACES AND HAVING SUCH AMAZING CONVERSATIONS. LEARN FROM MY LIFE….I DID IT MY WAY AND ON MY OWN TERMS!”
LET US ALL DO THE SAME AND OWN YOUR POWER!
